At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2018, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.6% compared to 2017, reaching 17.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Belgium ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.3% (from 15.5% in 2013).
