At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2024, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 10.3% compared to 2023, reaching 11.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.9%.

Belgium ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 25.2% (from 15.1% in 2019).
