At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.4% compared to 2024, reaching 10.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.1%.

Belgium ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 25.0% (from 14.4% in 2020).
