At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2010, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.7% compared to 2009, reaching 13.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.7%.

Belgium ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.4% (from 14.1% in 2005).
