In 2018, Belgium's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 0.7% compared to 2017, reaching 222,049.

Belgium ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 0.9% (from 224,109 in 2013).
