In 2018, Germany's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 6.4% compared to 2017, reaching 1,082,478.

Germany ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 16.0% (from 1,289,071 in 2013).
