In 2021, Belgium's at-risk-of-poverty rate of older people by detailed age group decreased by 16.2% compared to 2020, reaching 14.5.

Belgium accounts for 87.3% of the EU-27 total of 16.6.

Belgium ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 7.6% (from 15.7 in 2016).
