At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2014, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 11.6% compared to 2013, reaching 31.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.4%.

Bulgaria ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 27.3% (from 24.9% in 2009).
