At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2019, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.4% compared to 2018, reaching 27.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 18.7%.

Bulgaria ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 13.2% (from 31.7% in 2014).
