At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2019, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.7% compared to 2018, reaching 30.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 18.7%.

Romania ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 21.6% (from 39.3% in 2014).
