At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2011, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.1% compared to 2010, reaching 31.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.1%.

Bulgaria ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 56.8% (from 19.9% in 2006).
