In 2011, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 11.0% compared to 2010, reaching 35.5%.
The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.1%.
Cyprus ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 31.6% (from 51.9% in 2006).
