At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2011, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.8% compared to 2010, reaching 23.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.6%.

Bulgaria ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 22.3% (from 19.3% in 2006).
