At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2011, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 5.5% compared to 2010, reaching 21.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.6%.

Italy ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.0% (from 20.9% in 2006).
