Main national accounts tax aggregates

In 2023, Bulgaria's main national accounts tax aggregates increased by 3.7% compared to 2022, reaching 8.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 13.7%.

Bulgaria ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.3% (from 8.7% in 2018).
