In 2022, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty threshold for a single household increased by 3.2% compared to 2021, reaching 5,803.

Bulgaria ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 28.4% (from 4,520 in 2017).
