In 2024, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty threshold increased by 17.3% compared to 2023, reaching 15,696.

Bulgaria ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 56.3% (from 10,044 in 2019).
