In 2025, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty threshold increased by 13.5% compared to 2024, reaching 17,812.

Bulgaria ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 71.7% (from 10,376 in 2020).
