Mean age at first marriage by sex

In 2021, Bulgaria's mean age at first marriage by sex increased by 0.7% compared to 2020, reaching 28.3.

Bulgaria ranks 20th out of 22 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.4% (from 27.1 in 2016).
