In 2007, Croatia's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 5.9% compared to 2006, reaching 1,510,000.

Croatia ranks 19th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 23.0% (from 1,228,000 in 2002).
