Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2012, Croatia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 1.9% compared to 2011, reaching 1.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 5.8%.

Croatia ranks 21st out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.4% (from 1.1% in 2007).
