Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, the EU-27 figure for share of energy from renewable sources was 47.5%.

That is a 4.6% rose versus 2023 (45.4%).

Over the five years before that, the EU-27 aggregate moved 39.4% higher.

Across member states, Austria reported the highest value (90.1%, 2024) and Malta the lowest (10.7%, 2024) — a ratio of 8.5× between the two ends of the range.
