At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2016, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.4% compared to 2015, reaching 17.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.4%.

Cyprus ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 33.6% (from 12.8% in 2011).
