Life expectancy by age and sex

In 2024, Cyprus's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.7% compared to 2023, reaching 81.5.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 78.9.

Cyprus ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.5% (from 80.3 in 2019).
