Population on 1 January by age and sex

In 1979, Cyprus's population on 1 january by age and sex increased by 0.6% compared to 1978, reaching 248,200.

Cyprus ranks 22nd out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 21.3% (from 315,500 in 1974).
