Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2002, Czechia's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 13.7% compared to 2001, reaching 25.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 65.6%.

Czechia ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 112.4% (from 12.1% in 1997).
