In 1998, Czechia's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 3.0% compared to 1997, reaching 3,492,961.

Czechia ranks 10th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 23.3% (from 2,833,143 in 1993).
