In 1999, Czechia's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine decreased by 1.5% compared to 1998, reaching 3,440,000.

Czechia ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.7% (from 2,923,916 in 1994).
