In 2002, Czechia's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 3.3% compared to 2001, reaching 3,647,100.

Czechia ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.5% (from 3,391,541 in 1997).
