In 2004, Czechia's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 3.0% compared to 2003, reaching 3,816,000.

Czechia ranks 11th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.9% (from 3,440,000 in 1999).
