In 2005, Denmark's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 2.6% compared to 2004, reaching 1,964,682.

Denmark ranks 15th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.0% (from 1,854,060 in 2000).
