Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2021, Finland's population change increased by 7.1% compared to 2020, reaching 9.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.2.

Finland ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.2% (from 9.6 in 2016).
