Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2014, Finland's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 6.6% compared to 2013, reaching 64.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 86.9%.

Finland ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 46.9% (from 44.1% in 2009).
