In 2017, Finland's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 22.9% compared to 2016, reaching 74.

Finland ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 30.8% (from 107 in 2012).
