In 2007, France's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 0.8% compared to 2006, reaching 13.1%.

France ranks 17th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.2% (from 12.0% in 2002).
