At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2025, France's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.5% compared to 2024, reaching 16.3%.

The figure is in line with the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

France ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 14.8% (from 14.2% in 2020).
