At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2025, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.9% compared to 2024, reaching 16.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Germany ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.0% (from 16.1% in 2020).
