In 2013, France's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 5.8% compared to 2012, reaching 385,511.

France ranks 2nd out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 25.3% (from 307,744 in 2008).
