In 2014, France's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 1.6% compared to 2013, reaching 379,153.

France ranks 2nd out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.3% (from 320,418 in 2009).
