At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2011, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.7% compared to 2010, reaching 14.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.1%.

Germany ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.6% (from 12.5% in 2006).
