At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2020, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 7.0% compared to 2019, reaching 16.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Germany ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.4% (from 17.4% in 2015).
