In 2019, Germany's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 5.3% compared to 2018, reaching 1,025,321.

Germany ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 22.5% (from 1,322,144 in 2014).
