In 2021, Germany's at-risk-of-poverty rate of households with at least one dependent child by work intensity decreased by 4.9% compared to 2020, reaching 50.2.

Germany accounts for 71.8% of the EU-27 total of 69.9.

Germany ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 22.7% (from 64.9 in 2016).
