In 2016, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.7% compared to 2015, reaching 14.5%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 18.2%.
Hungary ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.8% (from 13.7% in 2011).
