In 2017, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 5.5% compared to 2016, reaching 13.7%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.5%.
Hungary ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.1% (from 14.0% in 2012).
