In 2019, Hungary's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 11.3% compared to 2018, reaching 56,967.

Hungary ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 46.7% (from 106,939 in 2014).
