In 2019, Romania's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 33.5% compared to 2018, reaching 66,801.

Romania ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 59.4% (from 164,396 in 2014).
