Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1980, Hungary's population change decreased by 7.3% compared to 1979, reaching 13.9.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.1.

Hungary ranks 17th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 24.5% (from 18.4 in 1975).
