In 2018, Hungary's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 2.4% compared to 2017, reaching 83.

Hungary ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 39.9% (from 138 in 2013).
