In 2017, Hungary's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 6.6% compared to 2016, reaching 85.

Hungary ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 24.8% (from 113 in 2012).
